CLICK HERE TO READ INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ESCAPE ARTIST PROMPTS...
- Click on a comic strip starter panel below that appeals to you.
- Your chosen starter panels will then appear as panels on the Create Comix! page.
- Then, name your comic or story title and fill in the author's name.
- The second panel portrays an escape artist drawn by Tom Bloom, and the third panel gives you a writing prompt about the illustration to spark your writing in that same interactive panel.
You can write there, as well as add a cartoon character to represent you in that panel with a talk and thought balloon showing your words. - If you need more space, you can add another panel or go to the Stationery icon in the bottom tray of the Create Comix! page to choose another writing cloud or a stationery sheet to set up a fourth or fifth panel. Don’t forget to fill in the author’s name slot as well as rename the comic if you wish.
- When done, you can print or email your comic and story to a friend or relative. You can also use the playful illustrations on this page as conversation starters for two-member teams of classmates or friends, with each person contributing ideas or lines for an accompanying story. Just let your imagination go!
